Trivial fundamental group for Bernoulli crossed products
Problem. Let $\Gamma$ be a nonamenable group with $\beta_1^{(2)}(\Gamma) < \infty$, and $(X_0, \mu_0)$ a nontrivial standard probability space. Does the crossed product $L^\infty(X_0^\Gamma) \rtimes \Gamma$ of the Bernoulli shift action $\Gamma \curvearrowright (X_0, \mu_0)^\Gamma$ have trivial fundamental group?
