Polynomial bounds for a large set S with S^8 inside A^4 in approximate groups

Submit a result

Let $A$ be a $K$-approximate group in a group that need not be abelian, and write $S^8$ and $A^4$ for iterated product sets. By work of Croot and Sisask and of Sanders there is a set $S$ with $|S| \gg_K |A|$ and $S^8 \subset A^4$, but not with a polynomial dependence on $K$. The version that also requires $S \subset A$ is false, even with $|S| \gg_K |A|$ only (Kitamura); the question of Breuillard, Green and Tao puts no such condition on $S$.

Problem. Is there a set $S$ with $|S| \gg K^{-O(1)} |A|$ and $S^8 \subset A^4$?
